About the Assignment
ValueOne is currently looking for an experienced independent consultant/subcontractor for an on-site assignment at a supplier facility in Tychy, Poland, supporting important client within automotive industry.
The assignment is expected to start as soon as possible and will continue until further notice (TBD). We are specifically looking for consultants operating through their own company who can quickly engage in a hands-on operational role and support a critical supplier within the automotive industry.
The mission focuses on stabilizing production planning, logistics performance, and supplier operations to secure production commitments and deliveries to the client.
About the Role
As a Planning Consultant, you will be deployed on-site at a supplier manufacturing metal tubes and AC line hoses for the automotive industry.
The supplier is currently facing challenges related to production planning, delivery performance, and operational stability. Your role will be to support the supplier’s organization, ensure production commitments are fulfilled, and secure continuous deliveries to the client.
This is a highly operational assignment requiring strong planning, logistics, and stakeholder management skills. The consultant will work closely with both the client and the supplier’s operational teams to identify issues, drive corrective actions, and improve overall performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and follow up on the supplier’s production planning activities to ensure production commitments are achieved.
- Track, coordinate, and secure shipments to the client.
- Conduct proactive follow-ups on production status, material availability, and logistics activities.
- Identify bottlenecks, capacity constraints, and operational risks affecting deliveries.
- Drive corrective actions and support problem-solving activities together with supplier management and operational teams.
- Collaborate closely with planning, logistics, production, and supply chain stakeholders.
- Report status, risks, recovery plans, and progress to the client and relevant stakeholders.
- Support supplier development initiatives aimed at improving operational performance.
- Perform follow-ups outside regular office hours when necessary to secure shipment commitments and delivery schedules.
Required Qualifications
- We are looking for a consultant with experience from the automotive industry and a strong operational background in one or more of the following areas:
- Production Planning
- Logistics
- Supply Chain Management
- Supplier Development
- Manufacturing Operations
- Materials Planning
In addition, the ideal candidate has:
- Experience working within automotive manufacturing, OEMs, or Tier 1 suppliers.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
- Experience managing operational issues and recovery activities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A hands-on and proactive approach.
- The ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience supporting suppliers during production, logistics, or delivery challenges is highly desirable.
