ValueOne is seeking a Global Inventory Planner for a client within the manufacturing industry in the Gävle region. This is a consulting assignment with a start as soon as possible. In this role, you will be responsible for inventory planning and replenishment across a global warehouse network, ensuring high product availability while optimizing inventory levels and working capital. The position offers a dynamic international environment and the opportunity to contribute to a complex global supply chain.

About the role

The Global Inventory Planner is responsible for replenishment and inventory planning across the company’s global warehouse network. The role has a strong analytical focus, ensuring product availability while balancing inventory levels, working capital and long supply lead times. Remote work is possible 1-2 days per week.

Main tasks:

  • Plan and manage stock replenishment and transfers from manufacturing sites and global hubs to regional warehouses worldwide.
  • Analyse inventory levels, demand and supply requirements to support replenishment decisions.
  • Balance product availability with inventory levels and working capital.
  • Account for long and variable lead times, particularly for intercontinental sea freight.
  • Identify shortages, excess stock and inventory risks.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing sites and regional planning teams to coordinate replenishment across the global network.

Experience

Candidates should have several years of experience in inventory and replenishment planning for finished products, preferably in an international environment, and a university degree in economics, industrial engineering and management, logistics or a related field. A good understanding of global supply chain flows and long lead times, strong Excel skills, practical Power BI experience and a good command of English are required, while Swedish and experience with SAP S/4HANA and Voyager APS are advantageous.

The ideal candidate is analytical and interested in understanding how data influences business performance, with a collaborative approach to working with manufacturing sites and regional planning teams.
