Global Category Manager Direct Materials

Valueone is recruiting a Global Category Manager with experience from procurement of direct materials for pharmaceutical production for a client in Skåne Sweden.

The role

As a Global Category Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • To lead the development, implementation and monitoring of the category and sourcing strategies of raw materials and intermediates for pharmaceutical production.
  • Proactively develop strong relationships with business stakeholders and the procurement network
  • Monitor the supplier market and identify opportunities and commodity pricing trends.
  • Identify, drive and report cost savings initiatives.
  • Draft, negotiate, close and track & trace international supplier contracts.
  • Lead and manage the new supplier evaluation and qualification process.
  • Develop and continuously improve relationship with suppliers.
  • Address supplier non-conformances and performance issues.
  • Support GMP requirements and specification harmonization.
  • Manage tech transfer projects.
  • Conduct extensive and thorough ESG / risk / CSR reviews.

Experience and competencies

We are looking for candidates with several years of experience in strategic procurement with extensive knowledge of category management and advanced strategic sourcing of related direct categories used in pharmaceutical production such as raw materials and intermediates.

You should be a goal-oriented and results-driven individual with excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills. You have experience leading global cross-functional project teams and holds a University degree. Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is required.
